Ultralife has openings to hire production operators at a Core and/or Mid level, as based on the job description below.

These positions are being filled as a Temp-to-Hire position in partnership with Adecco.

The openings are for first shift (7am-3:30pm, Monday-Friday with overtime as needed) at our Newark, NY facility.

Overtime can consist of weekend work and/or extended shifts to 10 or 12 hours per day.

Applicants must have flexibility for these type of changes in schedule.

Job Summary: Support the production process throughout various stages.

Essential Functions may include, but are not limited to the following:

* Read, understand, and follow job instructions to complete tasks Adhere to all environmental, health, and safety requirements as detailed in the process work instructions

Ability to remain focused on repetitive tasks with strong attention to detail

Multi-task between different job responsibilities

Perform quality checks, mostly visual but some using gauges

Clean tools, machines, and work area

Other duties as assigned Core Level Operator duties may also include:

· Perform manual assembly operations (ex. gluing, shrink wrap, cell placement)

· Package batteries

· Run slitter

· Perform tab cutting operations

· Resistance welding Mid Level Operator duties may also include:

· Use fundamental math skills to perform specific job role

· Operate and monitor machines

· Make necessary adjustments to product and machine

· Label making

· Ability to weld and/or solder

· Testing as required by operation (ex. SPC/MES, pass/fail, etc.)

· Ability to use manual and/or power tooling · Read drawings and/or schematics

· Ability to perform wire prep

· Accurate recording/maintenance of production records

Education / Training / Skills / Experience:

HS Diploma or GED preferred

1-2 years experience in a manufacturing setting preferred

Experience in reading, understanding, and following job instructions to complete tasks

Basic math skills (counting, adding, and subtracting) required

Understanding of percentages and ability to convert units of measurement (kilograms to pounds, inches to millimeters, etc.) preferred

Prior welding experience preferred

Additional Job Requirements for Mid Level Operators:

At least 2 years experience in a manufacturing setting required

Ability to work within tight tolerances

Prior experience with measuring equipment preferred (ex. scales and calipers)

1-2 years experience soldering preferred, IPC Soldering Certification a plus

Prior experience with computer based testing preferred

Prior welding experience preferred Physical

Requirements: Continuous sitting or standing/walking for majority of the work day (67-100%), depending on operation

Ability to grip at least 15lbs of pressure

Ability to lift and carry up to 35lbs

Ability to pinch at least 5lbs of pressure Frequent use of hand coordination

Frequent use of foot pedal

Ability to pull 15lbs occasionally

Additional Physical requirements for Mid Level Operators:

· Ability to grip at least 25lbs of pressure

· Occasional reaching required

· May work in dry box or full flow hood

Ability to work within Cathode; dust/air quality and/or subject to high temperature
